Christian Emmanuel Sanon Biography
Who is Christian Emmanuel Sanon?
A well-known Haitian doctor with long-standing ties to South Florida was implicated in the blatant assassination of Haitian President Jovenel Moise last week.
Christian Emmanuel Sanon, who has lived in the Sunshine State for more than 20 years, is believed to be one of the leaders of the group that killed Moise, the Miami Herald said.
Sanon is the third person of Haitian origin associated with Florida to be arrested, the Herald said.
Two of them, James Solages, 35, and Joseph Vincent, 55, told authorities during questioning that the murder was part of a conspiracy to install Sanon, sources for the Caribbean president told the media.
They said the plan is not to kill Moses, but to deliver him a 2019 arrest warrant and take him to the presidential palace where Sanon will take his place.wikipedia
In an interview Saturday, Haitian National Police Chief Leon Charles told the Herald that the conspiracy involved two Haitian-Americans and a senior doctor, “but he did not identify Sanon by his last name.
“I would say that the Haitians (medic) recruited the men,” who in turn recruited a group of Colombian citizens for the operations, the report says.
A total of 26 people were successfully attacked, 19 of whom are currently in custody and the rest were killed in a police raid in response to the attack.
Moise, 53, was killed by a group of gunmen allegedly agents of the United States Drug Administration in an attack on his home.
Haitian First Lady Martine Moise, 47, was seriously injured in the attack.
Officials described the killers as well-trained “foreign mercenaries,” and the assassination plunged the politically fragile nation into further instability.
According to the Herald, Sanon has registered more than a dozen Florida businesses over the years, including real estate, energy and medical companies, though most are now inactive.
Sanon pretends to be a doctor, though the Florida store couldn’t find a medically cleared list for him.Records show that he filed for bankruptcy in Tampa in 2013, losing a Brandon home to foreclosure with more than $ 400,000 in total debt.
Christian Emmanuel Sanon, a Florida-based physician, was arrested, becoming the third Haitian-born suspect in the United States to be arrested in connection with the assassination of President Jovenel Moïse. Eighteen Colombian men have also been arrested. Sanon is a key figure behind the plot, said national police chief Léon Charles, who believes that Sanon recruited the hitmen who killed Moïse through a private security company known as CTU. “The initial mission given to these assailants was to protect the individual named Emmanuel Sanon, but then the mission changed,”
