Who was Chad Allford ?
A father of three children died in hospital after being arrested by Derbyshire police.
Police have yet to formally identify the individual. However, he has been named locally as 23-year-old Chad Allford.
The father of three is believed to have been arrested by officers at an address in Alfreton shortly before 5 p.m. Wednesday before he felt ill.
He was subsequently rushed to the hospital by ambulance, but later died, according to a police statement.wikipedia
The force has been referred to the Independent Office of Police Conduct (IOPC) following the incident.
A Derbyshire police spokesman said: ‘Just before 5pm last night, Wednesday, officers attended an address on Morewood Drive in Alfreton.
‘A 23-year-old man was arrested who felt unwell, he was taken to the hospital by ambulance where he later sadly died.
“The force has referred to the IOPC Funds.”

An IOPC spokesperson confirmed that an investigation into the incident is “in its early stages.”
A statement continued: ‘The IOPC has started an investigation after a 23-year-old man died after police contacted at a residential address on Morewood Drive, Alfreton, Derbyshire on Wednesday.
“Around five in the afternoon, police officers from the Derbyshire police detained a man who was getting worse and worse. He was called an ambulance and taken to the hospital, where he unfortunately later passed away.wikipedia
“The matter was referred to the IOPC and investigators attended yesterday the scene and the post-incident procedure to be investigated.
“Our independent investigation is in its early stages.”
Since then, tributes have flooded Allford on social media locally.
The police watchdog said Thursday afternoon: “The IOPC launched an investigation after a 23-year-old man died after police contacted at a residential address on Morewood Drive, Alfreton, on October 27.
Aaron Lunn posted: ‘Rest in peace Chad Allford. I had a great time growing up. ‘
JusticeForChad hashtag has also been included in many social media posts after his death.
Harry Lacey-Hatton said in a Facebook post: ‘I really can’t believe it. You were one of the nicest guys growing up.
‘I will never forget the times we had mate. You always supported me at school and I will always be grateful to you for that, because. It does not look real.
‘Rest in peace Chad Allford, my thoughts are with your family and your little one.’
Ryan Minkley added: ‘Enjoy each and every day because a wise man once said yesterday is gone and tomorrow is never a promise.
