1. Kaufman’s Vehicle Was Shot at Least Six Times on the Interstate
Police said at a news conference that Kaufman was on his way to work in the ICU of a local hospital when he was fatally shot on the interstate. His car was shot at least six times. Kaufman was shot on the night of Thursday, December 3, between 6:05 p.m. and 6:10 p.m., Nashville police said at the news conference.
Metro Nashville Police Department Chief John Drake told the press conference that “like all of Nashville” he was “completely shocked by the death of Caitlyn Kaufman.”

“She was a very compassionate young woman with a heart of gold and she was on her way to work to help other people,” said her mother, broken. She said she was “pleading like her mother. Help me find who did this to my daughter. ”

Storey is being held at the Bay County Jail on charges of fleeing police, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and trespassing while armed, sheriff’s officials said in the press release, which was posted on his Facebook page.
Brelsford is also being held at the Bay County Jail on charges of possession of narcotics equipment and burglary while armed. Both suspects will face multiple felony charges in Washington County.
“This is a random act of violence,” Sheriff Kevin Crews said in the news release, which says the suspects “did not know any of the victims of the shooting.”
The shooting victims did not die. The two men were detained a short time later at the Port of Panama City, where authorities say they recovered ammunition, firearms and ballistic vests.
