Brandon McNeil Wiki
Brandon McNeil Biography
Who is Brandon McNeil ?
A teenager has admitted stabbing a motorcyclist to death during the making of a music video outside a chicken shop in Brixton involving Lamborghinis and quads.
Shane Jerome, 23, was attacked in a deadly street battle while riding his motorcycle down a main street in South London as part of a convoy of vehicles featured in the film.
Armed with a ‘big knife’, Brandon McNeil ran towards Mr. Jerome and stabbed him in the chest, piercing him through the heart.
The Old Bailey heard that he also bladed a second man on a quad bike that was also part of the convoy near Brixton tube station.
Despite efforts to save him, Jerome, from Thornton Heath, south London, was pronounced dead at the scene in July last year.
McNeil was identified by the palm print he left on the green Lamborghini and police later recovered “more than one large zombie-style knife” from his home.
Family
On Tuesday, McNeil, 19, pleaded guilty at the Old Bailey to Jerome’s murder.
He also admitted attempting to cause serious bodily harm with intent to the second man, Romaine Gayle, and possession of a knife in Brixton Road.
Mr Jerome’s family sat in court as McNeil, of Lollard Street, Vauxhall, south London, made his case in the dock.
Judge Rebecca Trowler QC adjourned sentencing until May 27 for reports to be prepared with McNeil on remand.
Death
Police and paramedics rushed into Brixton’s high street at around 8:18 p.m. m. on July 21 last year to find Shane, who had been fatally stabbed while apparently filming a music video involving multiple cars and a quad.
Doctors and members of the public had tried to save Mr Jerome when the London Air Ambulance landed nearby.
But despite his best efforts, he was pronounced dead at the scene some 25 minutes later when the knife entered his heart, the court heard.
Footage of the scene later emerged showing a green Lamborghini supercar speeding off into the distance amid screams as the road turned into chaos.
Prosecutor Bill Emlyn Jones told an earlier hearing: “It is not known if the video was in any way provocative or gang-related, but it appears to have been perceived as an act of provocation by those involved [in the attack].
Jerome is seen riding his own motorcycle as part of a convoy of high-performance vehicles featured in the film.
‘The CCTV shows [McNeil] run to Jerome to stab him in the chest and then place his hand on the body of a green Lamborghini car, which is also part of the convoy featured in the film.
He then turned to the driver of another vehicle, an ATV, and waved his knife at him. Happily, he missed his target.
