The man who brutally assaulted a 65-year-old Filipino woman by kicking her in the head in a savage attack in New York has been arrested, police said.

Brandon Elliot, 38, was taken into custody by the NYPD at 2 a.m. Wednesday after CCTV footage of the horrific beating generated widespread condemnation and prompted a police chase.

Elliot is currently on life probation after murdering his own mother in 2002 and was released from prison in 2019, according to NBC New York.

He lives in a Manhattan hotel that serves as a homeless shelter near where Monday’s attack took place and has been charged with assault as a hate crime.

The victim was on her way to church in Midtown when she was pushed to the ground and kicked in the head.

She had been walking towards the suspect in the moments before he attacked her when she reportedly told him: ‘Fuck off, you don’t belong here.’

The damning footage also shows two security guards watching the attack unfold and not intervening.

The couple have been suspended from work, the Brodsky Organization, the building’s management company, announced Tuesday.

NYPD officers covered Manhattan with search posters and offered a $ 2,500 reward for any information on the suspect.

Elliot lives in a nearby hotel that serves as a shelter for the homeless, according to police.

“The personnel who witnessed the attack have been suspended pending an investigation together with their union,” said a statement from the building’s management. “The Brodsky Organization is also working to identify an external delivery provider present during the incident so that appropriate action can be taken.”

On Tuesday, the victim’s daughter’s boyfriend told The Post that her attacker “looked into her eyes” and then beat her so mercilessly that she “wasn’t there” after the first hit.

“She said he was walking up to her and looked into her eyes,” said the woman’s daughter’s boyfriend, who gave hers her first name, Luca. “She tried to avoid him, like people do when you walk through New York City, but he came straight for her. After the first hit, she wasn’t even there. I can’t see how she got up from that. ”

The victim was rushed to New York University Langone Hospital, where she was in stable condition, authorities said.

Elliot was being held at a Midtown police station awaiting his appearance.

Attack Asian women

A racist attacker struck an Asian woman in Midtown on Monday morning in an alleged attack fueled by hate.

He allegedly struck a 65-year-old woman after throwing anti-Asian statements at her on West 43 Street near Ninth Avenue Monday morning, cops said.

Several witnesses from a nearby residential building, including workers employed there, did nothing to stop the beating, video of the assault shows.
