Bob Bryant Wiki

                Bob Bryant Biography

Bob Bryant was a megachurch pastor from San Bernardino County, California, who died of COVID-19 after leading outdoor services for his congregation, according to NBC Los Angeles.

Bryant, 58, was an associate pastor at Water of Life Community Church in Fontana. His wife also contracted the virus. “It is with great regret that we share that Pastor Bob Bryant passed away on Monday, November 30 of this life and found himself fully in the presence of Jesus,” the church wrote on its website.

“Many of you have prayed and fought for him well-being and miraculous healing. It has been inspiring to see our church family come together to fight for Pastor Bob and to care for the Bryant family. … Today Pastor Bob is where he has always liked to be, in the presence of Jesus. He loved God and loved people with great passion. We celebrate his life and how he lived and influenced us to love as Jesus loved ”.

Bryant had been a pastor there for 18 years, starting out as a youth pastor, The Orange County Register reported. Susan DePaola, executive assistant to the senior pastor, told the outlet that Bryant went from being a youth pastor to “our healing department, where he helped care for people who were suffering financially.” Bryant “was on vacation when he got sick,” according to The Register.

Although tributes flooded the church’s Facebook page, recalling the pastor’s faith and charitable acts towards others, some people raised the connection to COVID-19, writing: “It definitely could have been avoided. My condolences.”

Bryant’s Wife Described How His Symptoms Escalated

In an interview with NBC Los Angeles, Bryant’s wife, Lori Bryant, described how his symptoms kept getting worse. “Bob has all the symptoms. He started having more and more symptoms, ”he told the television station. “In three hours they took me back to the back and put Bob on a fan.”

The church has held outdoor services during the pandemic and Lori Bryant told the television station that it is unclear how she and her husband contracted the virus.

“He had no symptoms and Bob had most of the symptoms,” he wrote on Facebook. He said the couple and one of their children tested positive for coronavirus on November 17.

One tribute noted that Lori Bryant waited in the parking lot while her husband was in the hospital.

“Bob is very, very safe because he had some health problems so he’s been very, very safe and it could be you,” he said.

On Facebook, Bryant’s wife posted the video above, writing: “This is Bob !! Radical lover of God, his family and the next generation.”

In another post, she wrote: “With a broken heart and gratitude I let you know that Bob went to be with the Lord at 9:45 this morning. He fought to the end and so did his doctors and nurses. The love and support, prayer and generosity that surround us continue to amaze me. Keep praying as Bob prays and believe that God is changing this. It’s definitely not the way we expected it to be, but he’s doing something, God is doing something right now. Pray for the family. I’ll keep you posted on arrangements for a celebration of Bob’s wonderful life !! ”

Before he died, she shared a post that said, “I just spoke to the doctor. The muscle enzyme count, which triggered the scan yesterday, has continued to rise. This has the doctor puzzled and so Lori is asking for wisdom so that the doctor knows how to fix it. Unfortunately, this muscle enzyme impacts your entire body – organs, skeletal structure, everything – fighting every area of your body. The doctor will continue to do a test every four hours to check for these enzymes. They are also checking for seizures, although there are no signs that he has had any. On a positive note, they have weaned him off various medications, including the sedative, and reduced the amount of blood pressure medications. His lungs are about the same, not worse. The doctor said he is at peace but not awake. He still can’t breathe on his own. ”

Lori Bryant wrote on Facebook that her husband had pneumonia, a “silent heart attack” and kidney problems and was later placed on a ventilator.

Bryant Was Remembered for His Kindness & Faith

Water of Life Community Church has about 26,000 members, about 8,000 of whom show up for in-person services each weekend, according to The Orange County Register. Church leaders were among those who lobbied California Governor Gavin Newsom to allow churches to reopen for in-person services in May after being closed due to coronavirus restrictions in March, The Register reported. The church held socially distancing indoor services in late May and then moved to outdoor services, according to The Register, before resuming socially distant indoor services in late October.

People filled social media with tributes, leaving comments on the Water of Life Community Church Facebook post about Bryant’s death:

“Pastor Bob impacted the world, especially my family and ministry in Uganda, he stood firm in teaching the truth of God’s word, he loved him so much every time I saw him teach online, he loved God so much in everything he did. He did, we are so sad to lose him but we know that he is with God, it is very difficult to find people who give their lives to serve God as servants like him, to the family are strong and know that Bob has left to be with God, and that it is what we all seek, let us continue serving God as he did so that we are also with God “.

“My prayers go out to the family, he prayed for my daughter and when I was baptized the second time, Father Bob baptized me and it was an honor, we will really miss him.”

“Rest in peace Pastor Bob. We will truly miss your goodness, faith, and love for God. Thank you for the beautiful words and prayers you blessed me with. You touched my heart so deeply and knew the right words to bless me. Thank you!! ❤💔 “.

“You helped me financially when my broadcast went and you prayed for me, thank you many times Pastor Bob Bryant U really touched my heart ❤️ I will really miss you. I pray for the peace and comfort of the family ”.
