Who is Blake Ferguson ?

Blake Ferguson entered the NRL as one of the most exciting teen talents to debut in years, but a series of alcohol and gambling problems, as well as a series of off-the-field controversies, kept him from realizing his potential. .

Ferguson made his debut for the Cronulla Sharks at age 19 in 2009, becoming the club’s top try scorer in his first season with the NRL.

Controversially, he left the club after the 2010 season due to a clause in his contract that allowed him to leave if coach Ricky Stuart also left the team.

The 31-year-old was arrested in Tokyo on December 30 after he allegedly beat another man at a restaurant in Roppongi.

Police searched his belongings and allegedly found cocaine, according to local reports.

His career has been tainted by indiscretions including indecently assaulting a woman he mistook for ‘another blonde woman’ he met that night, checking into a rehab clinic for a gambling addiction, and drinking vodka cruisers on a roof after skipping the training.

The thrilling back row followed Stuart to Canberra, where he immediately became the Raiders’ top try scorer, cementing his place as one of the best young players in the game.

However, off-field problems began to crop up for Ferguson

However, off-field problems began to crop up for Ferguson, and he infamously skipped a training session in March 2013 to drink Vodka Cruisers with Josh Dugan on the roof of his house.

That same year he was convicted of indecently assaulting a woman at 10:30 p.m., a popular nightclub in Cronulla after celebrating his first selection for State of Origin.

Ferguson said that he had mistaken her for “another blonde woman” that he had met that night in the Northies while partying with Dugan.

‘I always liked blonde girls because I lived in Cronulla for a long time,’ he said in court in 2013.

‘I would like to apologize to [the victim], she would never touch her in a sexual way. I’m so sorry I got her confused [sic] with the girl I related to in Northies. I would never touch a girl like that if I didn’t know them on an intimate level. ‘

Ferguson passed to the Roosters in 2015 after spending time out of the game due to conviction, where he was returned to the NSW Origin fold in 2017 alongside Dugan.

The couple drove several hours to the Lennox Head Hotel a few days before the third game in the series, with some present suggesting that they had embarked on an eight-hour drinking session.

Members of the NSW organization denied those reports, but the following year they were left out of the team and coach Brad Fittler wanted to change his “selfish culture”.

Later that year he checked into a rehab center to overcome his gambling addiction.

Ferguson moved to Parramatta Eels in 2019, where he returned to the NSW team, setting the winning try to the decider game siren.

He had two children with his then-partner, Bianca Menniti, before proposing to Dominique Moraitis, heir to his grandfather Nick’s multi-million dollar fruit and vegetable empire.

The two had a child together, but their relationship broke up in February of last year before marrying.

Ferguson had no offers on the table from NRL teams, so he announced that he would be moving to Japan to play rugby.

On December 30, he was taken by officers of the Tokyo Metropolitan Police to the Azabu police station at around 6.30 a.m. on December 30.

Police arrested Ferguson for allegedly beating another man at a restaurant in Roppongi in Minato City, a popular nightclub district in Tokyo.

Officers searched the soccer star’s belongings at the police station and allegedly found cocaine, according to local media.

Ferguson only signed with the NEC Green Rockets in the Japanese Senior League and moved to the Land of the Rising Sun a few months earlier.
