Billy Brown Wiki
Billy Brown Biography
Billy Brown of the Alaskan Bush People died suddenly at age 68.
The patriarch of the Brown family was attacked on Sunday, February 7.
News of his death was announced by his son, Bear Brown, who wrote on Instagram: “We are heartbroken to announce that our dear patriarch Billy Brown passed away last night after suffering a seizure.”
He continued, “He was our best friend, a wonderful and loving father, grandfather and husband, and we will miss him very much. He lived his life on his own terms, off the grid and off the ground and he taught us to live that way too. We plan to honor his legacy in the future and continue his dream. We ask for privacy and prayers during this painful time! God bless everyone !!! ”
In an official statement, the Alaskan Bush People wrote: “We are devastated to learn of the sudden passing of Billy Brown. He has been part of the Discovery family for years: a pioneer, a charming man, and definitely one of a kind from him. Our hearts go out to his family and to those who knew and loved him as they faced this devastating loss. ”
Several fans and friends have offered their condolences to him.
Brown is survived by his wife, Ami, and his seven children, all of whom appeared on the Discovery Channel series.
Billy Brown Was Struggling With Respiratory Issues
Billy had been hospitalized in the past for respiratory problems.
Last month, Pop Culture reported that he was in “declining health” after “defying doctors’ orders.”
Brown had been in and out of the hospital with respiratory problems and was told by doctors that the altitude was not good for his health.
When he returned home from a visit to the doctor, he told his family that he had heart problems.
In an effort to ease the tension in his heart, the Brown children decided to move Billy and Ami’s trailer further down the mountain. On an episode of the show, Rain shared about the family home: “[My parents] are holding on, the air quality is a big factor for my dad. I feel like it’s always the anchors. They always assure us that things are going to be fine, even when we want to assure them that everything is fine. ”
Yet, in The Sun’s words, Billy was determined to continue his life on the mountain. “Billy decided that he would rather die on his Alaskan Bush People mountain than anywhere else.”
Ami Brown’s Health Update
Billy Brown’s wife, Ami, was diagnosed with stage three lung cancer in 2017. She was given a survival rate as low as 3%, according to Distractify.
As Survivor Net noted, she underwent four months of chemotherapy and radiation treatment. In 2018, doctors announced that Ami was “cancer free.”
Last August, Bear Brown gave fans an update on the health of his mother in an Instagram post. According to People magazine, he wrote: “Happy birthday to my mother !!! The strongest and bravest woman I have ever known. We’ve had a pretty bad time over the last few years, but we’ve had some monumental moments too! Mom has gotten the grandchildren she always wanted! I feel very lucky to have my mother with me and that I was able to see Wolfpack grow even further with his grandchildren. Despite all the adversity we have faced, we remain united as a family! Even stronger for that !!! Happy Birthday Mom.”
In October 2020, Distractify reported that “by all indications, Ami is still in remission.”
Ami has yet to comment on the sudden passing of her husband.
