“These suggestions are not in line with our core values. Furthermore, he declares that Trader Joe’s will not present himself to us without adopting his policies.
“It is clear that he does not understand our values. As a result, we are no longer comfortable with him working for Trader Joe’s. ”

The Bonnema thread amassed over 140,000 likes and retweets as of Monday. Outraged users praised Bonnema for speaking out and criticized the company for firing him as a result.
Many said they would not buy from Trader Joe’s until Bonnema is restored and the proposed changes are addressed.
