Ariel Young, a girl who suffered a brain injury in the Britt Reid car crash incident in February, has NOT been released from the hospital yet, but is starting to get better.
She was in a coma for over a week when Britt Reid, son of K.C. Chiefs head coach Andy Reid allegedly crashed her car into the vehicle she was in during an accident on February 4.

The 5-year-old girl injured in a car accident involving former Kansas City Chiefs outside linebackers coach Britt Reid is “getting a little better every day,” according to a GoFundMe update.
The family intends to press charges against Reid, who reportedly told police that she had two to three drinks before getting into her car.
Reid was reportedly driving a pickup truck that struck two vehicles parked on the side of an interstate near the Chiefs’ practice facility on February 4.
Young was the only person who suffered fatal injuries in the accident. According to a police report acquired by ABC News, Reid’s truck was allegedly driving at “highway speed” at the time of the accident.
After the accident, Reid did not travel with the team to Super Bowl LIV. The Chiefs lost the contest 31-9 to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. A few days after the Super Bowl, it was revealed that the Chiefs put Reid on leave and quietly allowed her contract to expire.

Young woke up from a coma in mid-February, but doctors diagnosed him with a traumatic brain injury and expected a “long road to recovery.”
Young’s family, via their GoFundMe page, provided an update on his health over the weekend.
“Ariel remains in the hospital, he is improving a little every day, but he still has a long way to go.”
As we previously reported, police say Britt Reid admitted to drinking alcohol and taking Adderall before crashing into two parked cars that were pulled over to the side of a freeway entrance ramp.
Cops announced they were investigating the crash, but so far, no formal charges have been filed against Reid.
Young’s family is unhappy with the pace of the investigation and says, “Britt Reid is living her normal life every day, while [Ariel] can’t, please don’t let her story forget .
