Anna Ruch Cuomo
Anna is stated to be the third woman to have accused Governor Andrew M. Cuomo of inappropriate behavior, just hours after the New York Governor formally referred himself for an investigation into similar allegations by two former aides. She told the newspaper that Cuomo put his hand on her small back and when he took it away with his, the governor said she looked “aggressive” and put his hands on her cheeks.
Anna told The New York Times that she met Mr. Cuomo at a wedding in September 2019. During the reception, he put his hand on her bare back, which she pushed away from her, and asked if he he could kiss her. “She was so confused, shocked and embarrassed,” Ms. Ruch told the Times.
“I turned my head and had no words at the time.”
Ms. Ruch’s testimony comes just days after her former assistant Charlotte Bennett told The New York Times that she sexually harassed her last year. Ms. Bennett’s allegations on Saturday came just four days after another former assistant, Lindsey Boylan, described Cuomo’s unwanted physical contact.

Ruch claims the 63-year-old man put his hand on her small back after she went to congratulate him on her toast. When she took his hand away from her, she allegedly placed it on his cheeks in an “aggressive” manner and asked, “Can I kiss you?”
There are also reportedly text messages corroborating the story, with Ruch telling an unidentified person that she was “f ****** in Cuomo.” The former US Housing Secretary-turned-governor admitted that her behavior “may have been insensitive or too personal” after the reports on Ruch’s claims began.
“I acknowledge that some of the things I have said have been misinterpreted as unwanted flirting. To the extent that anyone felt that way, I’m really sorry, ”the Democrat said.
Earlier Monday, New York Attorney General Letitia James said Cuomo’s office had written to her granting her request to establish an independent investigation into the allegations. The referral letter noted that the investigation’s findings will be “released in a public report,” Ms. James added.
Cuomo said Sunday that he was “really sorry” if his conduct had ever been “misconstrued as unwanted flirting” as he faced mounting pressure from the scandal. He has denied ever touching or proposing to someone inappropriately.
