Who is Ann Betteridge ?
A delivery driver was fired for yelling and swearing at a woman while he was throwing packages from his truck onto the street while trying to find hers.
Shocking footage shows the Lincolnshire DPD driver cursing and throwing fragile items from the van as he made a delivery.
A horrified 45-year-old Anne Betteridge filmed the footage after leaving her house to pick up a clothing order on July 21.
The full-time caretaker said the driver didn’t give her what she ordered and insisted she come back later during an angry tirade, but she didn’t come back.
Anne filmed the DPD driver that she had arrived to deliver the clothes she ordered as she cursed and ranted.
She left a pile of packages on the street, some of them marked “fragile,” while she continued to search her truck.
Anne said: ‘I went out to meet him but then he started throwing packages out of the van.
‘At first he didn’t bother me, he had just ordered clothes and the other things didn’t seem fragile. I started to laugh.
‘But then he dropped this box and you could hear a rattling sound and I noticed it said ‘fragile’ on it. I just thought, ‘What’s going on?’
The video shows the angry driver throwing packages and muttering to himself.
He said, ‘I’m going to have a heart attack. F ***** g hundreds, I have 110 here.
Anne says that she then gave up looking and left, saying that she would come back later but she didn’t.
She said: ‘I will never use DPD again. She was really unprofessional. She just left and seemed a bit upset. I’m not even upset, I’m just baffled.
Incident
A DPD spokesman said: “We were already made aware of this incident last week and can confirm that the driver was immediately removed from the business upon returning to the depot.”
“The behavior here was completely unacceptable and in no way reflects the service our drivers provide to customers millions of times a week, across the country.
“We would like to assure everyone that we will never tolerate poor service like this.”
