Angela Reese is the wife of Mike Reese, a six-term Republican member of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives. She served on the Chamber’s Commerce and Children and Youth committees. She died on January 2, 2021 of an apparent brain aneurysm at the age of 42.

Mike Reese Background
Reese was born in Mount Pleasant Township and graduated from Mount Pleasant Area High School. She then went on to Duquesne University, where she graduated with a bachelor’s degree in secondary education with a minor in history. Reese earned an MBA from Seton Hill University in 2004.
Reese was a six-term Republican member of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives. She served on the Chamber’s Commerce and Children and Youth committees. He died on January 2, 2021 of an apparent brain aneurysm. In early December 2020, he announced that he had been diagnosed with COVID-19.
Pennsylvania House Majority Leader Kerry Benninghoff made the following statement on her death:
“I have known Mike since he took office in 2009 and I am proud to witness his many legislative accomplishments, especially his tireless work on behalf of Pennsylvania students and families. Mike was a model legislator who carefully put his constituents first. We will deeply miss his spirit, presence and advice. ”
“On behalf of the entire House Republican Caucus, I extend our deepest condolences and condolences to the family of Representative Mike Reese,” Benninghoff said in the statement.
“More than a friend to all of us, and one of the leaders of our caucus, Mike was a devoted husband and father,” he continued. “His wife, three young children and his extended family are in our thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.”
“I just spoke to him on New Years Eve. He had just run five miles when we spoke and was about to take his son hunting, ”he added.
According to The Tribune-Democrat newspaper of Johnstown, Pennsylvania, Reese contracted COVID-19 in early December and said in a statement at the time that her symptoms were mild.
“I recently learned that I have tested positive for COVID-19,” Reese said on December 7. “I have been in quarantine for the last week awaiting my test results and with the positive test I will remain in quarantine until I recover. I am grateful to report that my symptoms were mild and are on the decline. I feel better with each passing day. ”
Reese is survived by his wife Angela and their three children.
