Who was Ally Sidloski?
Ally Sidloski was a University of Cincinnati soccer player who was the victim of drowning in a lake in southern Ohio while authorities are still trying to determine what, exactly, happened to the young midfielder. Sidloski was seen clinging to the bathing platform of a boat before disappearing into East Fork State Park, according to the Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR). Her body was discovered around 1 a.m. Sunday.
An ODNR press release states that she was not wearing a life jacket.

Ally was one of the pillars of all that is right in our program. A great student, a brave and tough gamer, and a phenomenal human being – this is an immeasurable and indescribable loss. Our hearts go out to his family and friends and we will lift them up with our fond memories of Ally.
“Our Bearcats family has suffered an extreme loss,” said Athletic Director John Cunningham. “We send all our prayers, love and support to the Sidloski family and we will do everything we can to support them and our student-athletes as we all process and work through this tragedy. Please respect the privacy of the Sidloskis and members of our soccer team as they mourn the loss of their daughter, sister, teammate and friend. ”
In high school, she was selected three times to the All-Greater Cleveland Conference and was appointed to both the National Honors Society and the Math Honor Society.

During her high school career at Strongsville HS, Sidloski was selected three times in the All-Greater Cleveland Conference.
She made her debut with the UC Bearcats in 2019, although she missed the 2020 season due to injury. In the classroom, the University says Sidloski earned a 4.0 GPA over multiple semesters and received All-AAC Academic honors after the 2019 season.

In a press release from UC Athletic, he states that Sidloski excelled in the classroom, being named a TopCat Scholar in multiple semesters for achieving a 4.0 GPA. Sidloski is survived by her parents David and Tracie and two sisters, Katie and Nicole.

The body of a woman who disappeared and drowned in East Fork State Park was recovered Sunday. She has been identified as Sidloski from Strongsville, Ohio. The Ohio Department of Natural Resources said the woman was hanging from the bathing platform of a boat before disappearing into the water.
