An active shooter with homemade explosives, possibly in a briefcase, was reported at Allina Health Clinic in Buffalo, Minnesota.
In the shipping audio obtained by Heavy.com, and which you can listen to below, an officer indicated that there were several victims and said: “They are observing about five wounded, critically.” Police have not issued a formal statement about the mass shooting.
A pistol and a briefcase were found in an office next to the reception. “He should still be lying face down,” police said in dispatch audio, although he is not sure who they were referring to. Police said the suspect was in custody, in a squad, and that they were calling the bomb squad to see if there was another device at the entrance.
BCA special agents and crime scene personnel are on their way to assist the Buffalo Police Department in the investigation of a shooting incident involving multiple victims.

“Is there any more mention of that possible explosive?” said an officer. The answer was distorted in the audio. An officer or dispatcher then said that “the man said that he had four homemade explosive devices; everyone left “.
“We see evidence of that. The glass in the west was broken on all sides, ”an officer replied. Videos from television stations showed broken windows.
“There may be one in the briefcase next to the main office that has not yet been turned off,” an officer or dispatcher replied. “We have several victims at the front,” said an officer. “I have four or five shot back here,” said another officer at the scene. One victim suffered a gunshot wound to the abdomen. It was still unclear if anyone was killed in the incident or what the motive or identity of the suspect was.
The Health Center & Sheriff’s Department Confirmed There Was an Active Shooter at the Clinic; at Least 15 Shots Were Fired, Audio Says
“The Wright County Sheriff’s Office is asking the public to stay away from the Highway 55 and Willems Way area in Buffalo,” the Wright County Facebook page said. “There has been an incident with an active shooter at the Allina Health Urgent Care - Buffalo Crossroads clinic. A suspect believed to be the shooter has been arrested. The secondary road next to Wells Fargo Bank was also closed to traffic. The Wright County Sheriff’s Office will have a statement to be released this afternoon. ”
The ATF office in St. Paul wrote on Twitter that he was heading “to a medical facility in Buffalo, Minnesota, following reports of an active shooter situation. No further details are available at this time.”
A “man with a gun” was reported at the address, and they were “shot,” according to audio from the emergency dispatch obtained by Heavy.com. One dispatcher said “at least 15 shots were fired … someone came and started shooting.” The female victims suffered gunshot wounds, including one that was critical and another that had a wound to the abdomen, according to dispatch audio.
Police told CBS Local they were “responding to a weapons incident” at the clinic, which is located at 755 Crossroads Campus Drive.
The television station reported that the center’s representative “confirmed that there is an active shooter at the Buffalo clinic.” That comment was made around 11:30 a.m. February 9, 2021.
The shooting broke out around 11 a.m., according to the television station.
News of the incident was still unfolding, so many details were not yet known, including the number of victims, who the suspect was and what the motive for the shooting was.
Early, Unconfirmed Reports From Other Pages Also Indicated There Might Be as Many as Five Victims
The sites that monitor the audio of the police dispatch also wrote on Twitter that there could be up to five victims, but authorities had not yet confirmed this information.
Minnesota’s public safety monitoring page wrote on Twitter, “Wright Co - Possible Active Shooter. The suspect was reported to be in custody. Several reported victims and five reported as critical. ”
The MN Crime page wrote: “The shooter is reportedly in custody and authorities say there are at least five confirmed victims at the clinic. Multiple AirCare helicopters are on the way to transport the shooting victims. - It was reported that the incident took place at the Allina clinic ”.
The site added: “Dispatch audio also indicated that homemade explosives were detonated at the clinic and a bomb threat was reportedly directed against a Super 8 hotel about a mile south of the clinic, but its connection to the shooting was not immediately clear. ”
