Alisha Kramer is a medical student and OBG-YN resident physician at Emory University Hospital. She is also the wife of Democratic Senate candidate Jon Ossoff and the two have been dating since they were in high school.
Ossoff, 33, is the nominee for the 2020 United States Senate runoff elections in Georgia, running against incumbent Republican Senator David Perdue.
Alisha Kramer was born and raised in Atlanta. She graduated from Georgetown University in Washington, DC, with a Bachelor of Science in Global Health Biology. She is married to politician Jon Ossoff. Ossoff went head-to-head with Senator David Perdue on January 5 in a runoff and is expected to triumph.
Ossoff promises “great healthcare, deliver historic investments in clean energy and infrastructure, rebuild the economy so working families and small businesses thrive, and root out corruption so the government serves the people,” according to her campaign.

Kramer is an OBG-YN medical student and resident physician at Emory University Hospital. She earned her medical degree from Emory University, as well as an MA in health policy from the London School of Economics.
She has served as a program director and research assistant in global health policy at the Center for Strategic and International Studies. While at Georgetown, she was a research assistant in the immunology laboratory.
Kramer has lent her medical expertise to her husband’s campaign on several occasions. In March 2020, Ossoff enlisted his wife’s help in tweeting messages about social distancing and hand washing at the start of the coronavirus pandemic.
In October 2020, she joined her during a Facebook chat to answer voters’ questions about health care. Ossoff introduced her as “my favorite person in the whole world, my best friend, my wife, the amazing Dr. Alisha Kramer, OB / GYN, who is my hero, my role model and my guide.”
Ossoff shared that Kramer contracted coronavirus on July 25 after experiencing mild symptoms.

The couple began dating as teenagers and were together for more than a decade before Ossoff proposed to her in 2017. They both attended Paideia School, an independent private school located in Atlanta’s Druid Hills neighborhood.
She told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution in May 2017, after she proposed to Kramer, that they had been dating for 12 years.
