According to court records, police arrested Jones Monday morning after hitting and hitting someone on the head until the person passed out.
Police have charged Jones with the wrongdoing and he will face a Hamilton County judge at 9 a.m. of Monday.
Jones was arrested in 2017 for allegedly “stunging and stabbing a security guard in the eye” outside a Cincinnati hotel. Subsequently, police camera footage showing the scene surrounding this arrest was released. Jones has pleaded guilty to interfering with the official activities of the incident.
In 2018, the Bengals did not renew Jones’ contract and released him as a free agent. Later that year, Jones signed a one-year contract with the Denver Broncos. but after seven games, the team released him.
Jones retired from the NFL in 2019.
