Cambridge-educated lawyer Abigail Day (pictured) has been revealed as one of the top trophy hunters accused of killing dozens of African animals.

More details about Ms. Day’s involvement in the hunt will be revealed in a book published tomorrow by Eduardo Goncalves, founder of the Campaign to Ban Trophy Hunting.

Goncalves’ book Trophy Leaks: Top Hunters & Industry Secrets Revealed will also expose another trophy hunter who boasted of the ‘thrill’ of killing animals around the world on her social media.

Thames Water’s customer service manager, Berkshire’s Asif Wattoo, has hunted zebras and also posed with giraffe carcasses on trips to France, Pakistan and South Africa, according to The Star.

In 2008, Ms Day received the SCI ‘Diana’ award for being the world’s leading female trophy hunter and has hunted in 36 countries.

Goncalves said: “There is no other Brit so deeply enmeshed in the global industry. Seeing his list of awards was extraordinary. ‘

When The Telegraph visited their home in west London, they said they found oryx, wild boar and a large stuffed cat thought to be a leopard mounted on their walls.

Ms. Day declined to comment on the content of the book.

In 2005 she wrote to the publication to explain how hunting plays a “vital role” in conservation.

He goes on regular hunting trips with the South African company Umlilo Safaris, which offers “canned” lion hunts and shooting trips where you can hunt rhinos, elephants, leopards, hippos and antelope.

Canned hunting is the killing of wild animals raised in captivity in small enclosures. It is most commonly associated with lion trophy hunting.

Writing on Facebook about one of his stems with Umlilo Safaris, Wattoo said: ‘We saw three good Impala Rams, but my Pro Hunter knew exactly what he was looking for (big old RAM).

‘The ram was pulling away, so I hit it back a bit, but the bullet came out of the neck so you can imagine how much it was slashing. He only ran about 10 m and fell. ”

In another post he describes hunting a water antelope: “I could have shot it at 80m, but I wanted my first animal to be a full symmetrical / depicted trophy.

“We waited about 30 minutes for my animal to stand up, and as soon as it got to its feet, BOOM straight to the chest, it only ran about 30 m and fell.”

He added: ‘If you’ve hunted in Africa, you know exactly how exciting it is, but if you haven’t, I suggest you go early (try Umlilo Safaris).

‘Only then will you know exactly what and how I feel right now? LOL. ‘

The activist Goncalves has fought for years to ban the import of hunting trophies into the UK.
